A former actor student of the acclaimed actor-writer-director Robert Towsend and Shannon Eubanks, Michael Smalls is a uniquely diverse talent, highly skilled in martial arts and music, specifically percussion instruments. He has won TaekwonDo championships and participated in the U.S. Olympic team trials in TaekwonDo. The bilingual actor (Spanish and English) got his start in performing as a sports announcer who covered boxing and other competitions along with doing voiceovers. Ultimately, his active, competitive interests led him to become a stuntman and fitness model. His career blossomed into film and television opportunities in which he landed roles in productions such as “Fast Furious 7” and “Savannah.” He has appeared as lead in films, including “Shady Nights,” “Mano a Mano” and “Razor Sharpe.” Smalls has even written and produced his own TV show titled “The Envy Life.” The Atlanta native is now adapting his honed acting skills for stage productions.
