George Lima started acting once he retired, after being heavily influenced by his daughter and Freddie Hendricks Youth Ensemble of Atlanta. He received the bulk of his training from Samuel Williams and Charlene Knox of The Lou Walker Community theatre group. Having over 20 performances for Lou Walker, he moved on to perform in theatre in ” Three Wives and A Will,” in Sun Valley Idaho in “I’m Not Rappaport” for Atlanta Theatre To Go in “Final Rendezvous” and “Ghost Dad.” He was also the lead performer in “Looking For Love In All The Wrong Places,” for which he won a Bolden acting award. Lima has had numerous film and television appearances, most notably as a general in” Suicide Squad,” as well as “Love On The Rise” and “The Calling.”
